How many keepers? Is it three, like the baseball league?

WiCubsFan's team will have the #4 pick in the first round, the #7 pick in the second round, etc.

WiCubsFan made a trade with me in which he gave up his 4th round pick to me and got my 7th round pick in return (i.e., he has no 4th round picks, but 2 7th round picks).

WiCubsFan's final roster is:

Arizona DEF (14th round pick to keep)

Giovani Bernard (5th round pick to keep)

Matt Bryant (7th round pick to keep)

Marques Colston (3rd round pick to keep)

Antonio Gates (13th round pick to keep)

A.J. Green (6th round pick to keep - this is the last year in which he can be kept)

Indianapolis DEF (undrafted - 7th round pick to keep)

Fred Jackson (13th round pick to keep)

Rashad Jennings (undrafted - 7th round pick to keep)

Andre Johnson (2nd round pick to keep)

James Jones (8th round pick to keep)

Darren McFadden (3rd round pick to keep)

Cam Newton (13th round pick to keep - this is the last year in which he can be kept)

Jacquizz Rodgers (13th round pick to keep)

Emmanuel Sanders (12th round pick to keep)

DeAngelo Williams (5th round pick to keep)

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

2 keepers per season.

Players drafted the previous year (regardless of who drafted them) can be kept in one spot higher than the prior year (except 1st round draft picks can be kept in the 1st round). For example, a 12th round pick in 2013 can be kept in the 11th round in 2014.

Players who went undrafted the prior year can be kept in the 7th round.

If you don't have the pick to use (including if you want to keep 2 players in the same round but don't have 2 picks for that round), then you use the next highest round.  For example, if you want to keep somebody who was an 8th round pick last year and somebody who went undrafted last year, because those would both otherwise be kept in the 7th round, you would have to keep one in the 6th unless you had two 7th round picks.

You have to have the spots available to use a keeper.  For example, you can't keep a 1st and a 2nd round pick from the prior year unless you have 2 1st round picks this year.

Players can be kept a maximum of 3 consecutive years.

send me your email, then Slaw has to pick a team so I can start assigning them.

More importantly, if anyone has a problem with the draft date, they need to let us know ASAP, on this thread, so we can try to work out a different one.

I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I think I know which team I want, but to be sure, I need to know

  1. The scoring system
  2. The roster slots (starter and bench)

Okay, so no PPR, 9 starters, and no bench rules (i.e., you don't need to keep certain positions on the bench).
