Do we have a draft date set for this thing?

Quote:Draft order for round 1 (there were no trades of 1st round picks last year):

1. Rapp

2. Koz

3. BT

4. Liner

5. Fella

6. Clapp

7. Slaw

8. BT's friend

9. Kid

10. PcB

1-4 are actual order of the regular season standings of the teams that don't make the playoffs.

5-8 are reverse order of the regular season standings of the playoff teams that don't make the championship game.

9 is the championship game loser.

10 is the championship game winner.

I'll try to figure out all the keeper restrictions, etc. over the weekend.

Correction on this.  While I listed the correct default draft order, in fact, PcB traded his 1st round pick to Koz.  So Koz has the 2nd & 10th picks in the 1st round.

I'm overdue to provide the keeper lists.  Because there are more complications with keepers than in prior years, what I am going to do is provide the keeper rules and then a team by team breakdown of who can and cannot be kept.

Please set your keepers by Saturday, August 31 in Yahoo by selecting "Choose Keepers" under the "My Team" menu

Keeper Rules:

1.  You can keep a maximum of 2 players.

2.  Players are kept 1 round higher than the previous year (e.g., a 2016 4th round pick can be kept as a 2013 3rd round pick).  The exception to this is that both 1st and 2nd round picks are kept as 1st round picks.

3.  Players are kept according to their prior year draft status even if later released and claimed off waivers or acquired as a free agent.  However, in a new rule, any player who was released during the prior year cannot be kept with anything lower than a 7th round pick.  So, for example, a player drafted in the 4th round who is released, signed by someone else, and then the new owner wants to keep them, the new owner has to use a 3rd round pick.  But if the same thing happened with a player drafted in the 14th round, the new owner would have to use a 7th round pick (instead of a 13th).

4.  Players that went entirely undrafted the previous year are kept as 7th round picks.

5.  If you don't have a pick available, then the next highest pick is used.  For example, if you want to keep 2 undrafted players, then it will cost a 6th & 7th round pick to keep them. This also means that you can't keep both your prior year's 1st & 2nd round picks unless you have two 1st round picks.

6. If you keep a player higher than is required because you don't have the appropriate draft pick available, then you can use the "correct spot" the following year.  So, let's say you want to keep a player that went undrafted last year, but you don't have either a 7th or 6th round pick.  This year, you would have to use a 5th round pick.  However, next year, you could keep that player in the 6th round instead of the 4th round, because his keeper spot this year *should have* been the 7th round instead of the 5th.  It is the responsibility of the player using a better pick than required to inform the commissioners that this has happened.

Can be kept for the last time in 2020:

Alvin Kamara - BT

Adam Thielen - Kid

Aaron Jones - Rapp - Kept with #6 pick in 2019, can be kept with #6 pick in 2020
