Although...I have to say that I haven't completely figured out what the value of this thing is. Is it to see what your friends like?

well, you can listen to my music, and I can listen to yours... that's kinda cool. I'm streaming my stuff at work now, which is kind of cool too.

If you're referring to my list, it's because it's not all my music. It's mine and my wife's. I have stuff that runs the board. From kids music to metal to musicals to hip hop. Whatever caught my fancy at the time.

What a lame-ass, douche-baggy excuse. If you listen to all that candy-ass crap, own up. Next you'll be claiming that's your kid's WALL-E poster.

Oh. I opened up and played Pitchfork's Best Songs of the Decade playlist. I guess it's possible that there's a Kelly Clarkson in there. If so, I may have lost some respect for Pitchfork.

How fast is the streaming? Any major hiccups? One of the things I love about Pandora is that the song shuffling and buffering is so smooth that I rarely get annoyed while listening for an extended period of time.

Works great, and to my ears, it sounds like it's streaming at a higher bit rate than Pandora does. There are no ads either. The only problem that I've noticed is that it's a little slow scrolling through the interface to find songs.

I uploaded Them Crooked Vultures and it's all fucked up. About half of the songs aren't even by the correct artist -- just some other random unrelated songs play instead.

Weird. So far, they're the only band I've had this problem with.

Yeah, that's odd, but you can easily delete it and re-upload it. I've been listening to it all day, and had one glitch, which was a temporary pause during playback, and that's been it. I've got over 3k songs on mine so far.

I noticed a lot of Rockabye Baby songs in your collection. You must have stocked up in preparation for the little one...

Haha, I did, and for whatever reason, it's started uploading music in the order of most recently modified... so it was uploading a bunch of crap that my wife had me rip for her birthing playlist. Now it seems to be uploading them in alphabetical order.

I haven't figured this out yet, but can lala make recommendations based on your collection/listening patterns similar to Pandora? Or is it strictly self-discovery (or recommendations from friends)?

I think just recommendations from friends.
