Lineup guess

Soriano LF
Miles 2B
Lee 1B
Bradley RF
Ramirez 3B
Johnson CF
Soto C
Theriot SS
Dempster P

And same for the Astros with Wandy on the mound.

Even better:

Soriano, Theriot, Lee, Bradley, Ramirez, Johnson, Soto, Fontenot, Dempster.

Kinda Odd batting Font 8th, but I'll take it over Miles in the lineup.

Interesting, if that's right.

Fontenot did bat .333 vs LHP last season with a .417 OBP, granted, it was only 21 ABs. His career numbers are much worse though.

Miles vs lefties in his career:
.284/.352/.352/.704

Fontenot:
.247/.313/.370/.683

Maybe he improves there with more playing time and I definitely think he can especially since he stays on the ball well and drives it to left field, but Miles has been better there.

DeRosa vs. LHP (career):

.302/.373/.475

I've decided I'm going to keep doing this until someone threatens to kill me.

And that's his good side!

I don't like having a lineup that is so righty heavy. It doesn't change a lefthanded pitchers approach and allows him to get comfortable throwing to the outside part of the plate. Just my two cents.

That's true, and that's exactly why we needed to get more left-handed for right-handed pitching.

Once we put the best first baseman on our roster, Hoffpauir, that mission will be even closer to success.

Yeah its on the Sun times, its right.

I'm glad to see Fontenot get the start since its the 2nd game of the year and since he was 3 for 4 yesterday. I assume against tougher pitchers and when we get further into the season Miles will get most of the starts against lefties though.

Kinda weird that Johnson is hitting ahead of Soto, looks like Lou is gonna keep him 7th.

Wow. I didn't realize he was THAT much better than Miles.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
