Fuck yes we would win! I'd be blasting homers all over their faces!

The LLWS team, of course. Unless they're on SOI, in which case DIE IN A FUCKING FIRE MILES.

Three plays that would take them out in a hurry.

1. Break up slide at second base
2. Collision at home plate (I know it's illegal in LL, but if we play someone is steamrolling the catcher)
3. HBP (Hit the first guy up, the rest will be scared)

Exactly what happened with the big goon pitcher last night.

The team that won the girls softball title is from Warner Robins, Ga (which is where I live), as is the team that won the boys title in 2007 and the team that's 3-0 in the boys LLWS right now. I point this out because Warner Robins has around 90,000 people and is completely generic in every way...except when it comes to breeding 12 year olds who are freakishly good at baseball.

I would put money on the LLWS winning team beating a team comprised of SOI regulars. Without question.
I got nothin'.

We seriously need to have that SOITOW softball game and video a bit of it. With 10 minute of video tape it would be apparent just how blown out of proportion we believe our talent level to be.
I got nothin'.

You're nuts, dude. I don't care how good a group of 11 and 12 year old kids are at baseball. They'd be facing a group of adults -- and we could easily put together a team of 9 who have all played at a competitive level before. It would be a massacre.

How many people on SOI played beyond 12 years of age? I'm just curious how many actually played even HS ball.
I got nothin'.

I probably just have a perception that's off base. It's happened before.

Some of those kids throw like 78. I've never thrown 78 in my life. The 1B for the Warner Robins team is bigger than me...by about 60 pounds. They're freaks.

When I was in college, my roomate had a younger brother who was in 7th or 8th grade. He was a really good baseball player. He ended up getting a scholarship, and there was a while where they thought he might be drafted by a major league team.

Anyway, when the kid was 12 or 13 years old, my roommate kept bragging about him, and saying how I couldn't hit him, even at my age (19). His brother came down one weekend, so we actually played a little fastpitch.

He couldn't hit me, and I crushed a few off of him. And I never played high school baseball.

that settles this argument for me.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.
