2010 baseball television coverage bitch thread
#1
Anyone seen the new ESPN pitch count, velocity and base runners graphic?

What a turd. It's in a bad location (lower right) and it shows the count graphically:

B*** S** O**

I think it's for retarded viewers or something.

I was just watching the game on ESPN too and had similar thoughts.

I find myself watching ESPN less and less these days, especially for baseball coverage.

Since this thread is here... I just saw that MLB Network announced its schedule of televised games in April, and they have three Cubs games.

8-Apr 7:00 p.m.* Thursday Night Baseball: Cubs @ Braves

16-Apr 2:15 p.m. Astros @ Cubs

30-Apr 2:15 p.m. Diamondbacks @ Cubs

I hate not having it. I wish they'd offer it to MLB.tv subscribers through the site or as content on the various connected devices like the Roku.

If I must... How about my perception (however wrong it may be) that I'll see almost as many Cubs games on MLB Network than I will on WGN?

You will be seeing far less than half on WGN. But I thought WGN could still show games that MLB Network has. I didn't think MLB Network had an exclusive like ESPN or Fox have.

Looks like those games are on MLB Network in addition to their other channels:

I'm happy with the MLB Network games because Comcast in DC recently added the HD feed of MLBN. I count 6 games in April that I'll get in HD.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

Yeah, I never ordered the Comcast Sports Pack until they got MLB in HD.
