Starlin Castro: NL Rookie of the Year
#31
QUOTE (KBwsb @ May 25 2010, 12:41 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>It's a great year for rookies, especially in the NL. That's too bad for Castro, who's our most exciting rookie in years, and in most seasons, would be the front-runner.
Soto had the ROY wrapped up in April, and I thought he was pretty exciting.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

Good point. It was a great year for baseball in Cubville.
Soto had been around for so long, and was so old (for a rookie) that it wasn't quite the same as a hot young prospect like Castro. But yeah, I loved the summer of Soto.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
