Joe Torre - Cubs Manager 2011?
#1
With the Dodgers management troubles (yeah I'm talking about the McCourt's divorce issues), it sounding like Torre may be looking for a new home next year.

Joe may take some time off but he seems to be a nice fit for Ricketts. He's experienced, knowledgeable, has experience working with a large budget and larger egos.

I'm 90% convinced that Lou will finish out the year. Next year is another story. If the team continues to underachieve, he'll be gone in 2011.

There have been discussions regarding Lou, Brenly, Trammell and Ryno. What about bringing Torre to Cubs as Lou's replacement for 2011? He's had 15 years to get that damn Cardinal stench off of him. What about it?

I've never been a huge fan, but this article might change my mind
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

Why would Torre want to be involved in a partial rebuilding process anyway?

He looks like he's going through the motions too.

Eh. Pretty flimsy argument. I haven't seen much that says he's just mailing it in.
