Forza Horizon 6 Switch 2 Release Date Rumors
#1
Forza Horizon 6 is officially confirmed for Xbox and PC, but a Switch 2 release isn’t on the cards. The game launches on May 19, 2026, with PlayStation 5 getting a later release. Despite rumors, industry insiders and credible leaks confirm that Nintendo Switch 2 players won’t get a version of the game.
Platforms & Launch Details
  • Confirmed Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PC (Windows & Steam), PlayStation 5 (later in 2026)
  • Launch Date: May 19, 2026
  • Early Access: May 15, 2026, for Premium Edition owners
  • Setting: A massive, fictionalized Japan map—roughly five times larger than previous Forza Horizon games—celebrating Japanese car culture
Why There’s No Switch 2 Version
Even though the Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, 2025, and supports demanding third-party titles like Pragmata and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Forza Horizon 6 won’t appear on the platform. Experts believe the reasons are largely technical:
  • The game’s next-gen engine and massive Japan map demand more power than the Switch 2 can currently deliver at full quality.
  • Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy focuses on Xbox and PC, with PlayStation 5 added later, leaving Nintendo out of the equation.
What Switch 2 Players Can Play Instead
While Forza Horizon 6 isn’t coming to Switch 2, the platform isn’t empty for racing fans. Games like Gear.Club Unlimited 3 (released February 2026) and MotoGP 26 (coming April 29, 2026) showcase the Switch 2’s racing capabilities and can keep players busy until future releases.
