u4gm What Tips Help You Take Down The Devourer in POE 2
#1
With Path of Exile 2 almost here, it feels like the old meta’s about to get thrown in the bin. The way classes are built this time around changes everything, and folks are already speculating on which ones will take the crown at launch. The Sorceress has really caught people’s attention. She’s not just a rehash of the old Witch – she can double down on two elements like lightning and ice at the same time.

Imagine locking down a whole group with a chill or freeze, then frying them with chain lightning before they can move. If you can sort out her mana usage, she’ll pump out huge AoE damage and could easily be a league starter favorite. For anyone planning their early grind, stacking up some PoE 2 Currency might be smart, because gearing her right will make all the difference.

Then there’s the Monk. Totally new for PoE – fast, fluid combat, quarterstaff moves that feel more like a martial arts combo than a typical slow hit build. He builds momentum with strings of attacks, then unloads it all in one brutal finisher. High-risk, high-reward, and in the hands of someone skilled, he’ll wreck bosses. On the ranged side, the Mercenary shakes things up with crossbows and ammo types you swap on the fly. Armour-piercing for tanky mobs, explosives for crowds. That kind of tactical flexibility means you’re never stuck with the wrong tool for the job, which makes him a solid bet for tricky encounters.

The Ranger might be the one that really changes how it feels to play, though. Being able to move while shooting is a huge deal to anyone who remembers stutter-stepping in PoE1. No more halting your attack to take a step back – she can keep up the pressure while dodging danger. It’s going to make her feel smoother, safer, and just more fun. Bow builds have always had the potential to dish out serious damage, but now they can do it without compromising on mobility. Early tier lists will probably put her way up there before we even get our hands on the game.

On top of all that, there’s the universal dodge roll. Every single class now gets a baseline mobility move that’s easy to use but with room for skill expression, so staying alive isn’t just a stat check anymore – it’s about positioning and timing. The revamped skill gem system is also massive; support gems fit right into the main skill gem, so the days of needing a perfect 6-link chest are gone. Gear choice opens up, unique items get more room to shine, and build-crafting gets a creative boost.

If you’re thinking about which class can abuse mobility and the new gem setup best, the Ranger and Sorceress both stand out. Honestly, whether you’re chasing speed clears or boss kills, it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting early metas we’ve seen – and having some poe2 mirror ready for trading could give you a nice edge.
