I think what I meant was this: whether the Sox win or lose that day has ZERO effect on the NL Central standings. However, a Carp PG that turned a loss to a win has a huge effect on the Cub's chance of making the playoffs. So if Carp had thrown one, I'd be pissed.
Buerhle's PG was merely a sideshow, and doesn't affect the Cubs at all.

There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance
