I understand that it's mostly on the players that aren't performing, but how does Hendry get no blame here? How have the above examples helped put this team in the position to win?<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Hendry's trades have always bought him the benefit of the doubt with Cubs fans. And truly, he's pulled off some incredible ones.

But when it comes to assembling a team, it's just never felt quite right. Last year was as close as it comes (and as expensive as it comes), and still, there were serious deficiencies.
