I really hope he makes the team, but if he does, that means we'll have no typical "utility" guy, no actual back-up for Theriot at SS, etc., so it's a bit of a risk. hoffpauir is going to be the back up firstbaseman and corner outfielder. it's pretty much a done deal. unless hoffpauir completely tanks (and so far thats not remotely close to the case) he's on the team. put him on your roster buddy, because he's on the team.
gathright is a defensive replacement, a pinch runner, and a spot starter. nothing more, nothing less.
