Yeah there's zero reason to believe these guys will start hitting!
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It's going to take a little more than 3 hits and one run off a AAA pitcher to make me feel any better.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
It's not the hits, it's the swings. They've had much better swings the last 3 days. If that keeps up, the hits are going to come. Bradley hit the ball better than anybody but Lee in this game and he didn't get a hit. He hit the ball better than anybody in game 3 at St. Louis and he went 0-4. That's how it's going right now and it will change.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Last I knew...swings and moral victories didn't count.

All you can do in baseball is hit the ball hard and hope it lands where none of the 9 defenders are. Look at Fontenot last night, he hits a rocket off the pitcher. It's what you're taught to do, hit the ball up the middle, aim for the pitcher, and that's exactly what he did. It bounces off the pitcher, goes to Adrian Gonzalez, and he's 0 for 1. Then those that didn't see the game say, "Well Fontenot keeps sucking", when he actually hit the ball better than anybody last night did. These guys are going to hit. Those that really believe otherwise aren't facing reality.

That's an empty cliche.

Which result over a few games bodes better for long-term success? Good swings that are right at defenders or bloop hits?
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Bingo.

Nice piece of hitting Micah.

Our offense looked like pure ass the entire Cards series. Other than a couple of hard hit balls here and there, I'm not seeing much improvement yet. I'm glad you guys are seeing it, though.

Why do you even watch the games if anything good we do is going to get a "Yeah, but" reaction, and anything bad we do is the end of the world?

I'm just hoping it gets better. And I can't not watch.

Come on blue, this is ridiculous. He has to be able to use the inside part of the plate.

OK, I can only see this on Gameday so I may be out of line, but how can those first 2 pitches on Hairston be balls?

The 2nd one definitely was a ball, pretty much in the dirt. It's been the inside corner to lefties that's been bullshit. Len and Bob have been pretty vocal about it.
