If by great you mean that Cloverfield had a nauseating and dumb cast (ok at least one insanely hot chick) and an unoriginal story that was barely saved by a neat monster and its offspring, then I agree.

And that trailer looks pretty sweet.

I thought it was totally original. A Godzilla movie told from the point of view of the people running around in the streets.

Plus the only REALLY annoying person was the brother's girlfriend. The main guy wasn't annoying, just boring.
