These upcoming horror movies may not end up sucking

Most of the complaints were about the CGI being pretty lame and about the characters being disposable and underdeveloped, but none of the reviews I've read have said the movie was horrible, just pretty average. And it seems as though audiences and critics are watching 2 completely different films according to RT.
