I saw the trailer and was intrigued. Thanks for steering me away.

So it wasn't a Delight?

Not unless surrealist Mediterranean torture porn turns you on.

I have no idea what this is supposed to be, but will probably watch it anyway.

I saw a trailer for that a little while ago and immediately thought, "there's a movie I will watch and then regret watching."

Same here, and each subsequent trailer has confused me and creeped me out even more. As usual, my curiosity will probably get the best of me.

I watched Don't Breathe last night. Really good horror/thriller. I highly recommend it.

Based on Butch's recommendation, I checked out "They Look Like People" over the weekend. Very, very odd from beginning to end. But like you said, it did leave me guessing until the very end (mental illness vs. reality).

The sad thing is, I'm sure this movie plays out in real life more than we realize (which is scary).

Also, I'm seeing some other horror movie/series popping up on Netflix with the Halloween season upon us. Any worth seeing?

Caught up on a few horrors on Netflix the past few days (between Cubs games). Some were better than others:

The Hallow (Not to be confused with The Hollow, also on Netflix): This was probably my favorite out of this bunch. The movie is pretty intense throughout, with very little letup. However, it does have its fair share of cheap jump scares though that catches you off guard. I think my wife screamed 6 six times throughout the movie. She was really freaked out by it. With low expectations going in, it wasn't bad. I had fun watching it.

The Invitation: This one is definitely a slow burn, and I think I almost fell asleep a few times during it. Lots of awkward dialog and events, that makes you feel uncomfortable as the viewer. Finally - if you can make it to the end - the payoff makes it somewhat worth staying awake for.

The Uninvited: A Psychological thriller that's kind of a snooze with a big plot twist at the end. I have to admit, I was surprised by the twist, but even so the movie kind of meh for me. It seemed like a cookie cutter thriller to me.

So my little sister worked on this film. She's a costumer. I think she was a "shopper" for this film. How's that for a union job?

Watched Lights Out. I enjoyed it. The short it's based off of gets me every freaking time.

Next on the list: Don't Breathe.

Don't Breathe is really, really good.

Don't Breathe was really good.

Apparently I only see train movies these days. I recently watched "Train to Busan" on kat.tv. Never heard of it before, but it's a South Korean zombie movie. Pretty big budget actually, and one of the more entertaining zombie movies I've seen in a while. It's probably 20 minutes too long, but definitely recommended for fans of the genre.

I need to check that out. Thanks for the recommendation.

On the topic of horror, I started watching "Stan Against Evil" on IFC which airs on Wednesdays at 9PM. Not the most original story by any means, but it was created by Dana Gould, yes the comedian. It's about a small New England town that has had a bit of a demon problem since the Salem witch trials. Stars Jon C. McGinley as the retired sheriff. If you're a fan of Evil Dead and b-movie horror comedies, maybe check it out.

I think Eyes of My Mother wins for most effed up movie of 2016. Just watched it last night. Yikes...
