Last year we started a daily (M-F) recap that just listed a few news items from the previous day for the Cubs and around the league.  I'd like to do it again, but I (and I'm going to assume Rok) would like a little assistance.  Anyone that's willing to commit to one day a week writing a recap, I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Yes please. I can do up to 2 per week, but beyond that gets dicey given how hectic my mornings can become. Also, any suggestions for improvement are very welcome.

In May I should be able to pick up a day or sub for someone else for period of time but no chance prior to that time.

Sorry but I'm back to traveling with sketchy access to site

Jackson with two triples already.  Hoping the tweaked swing is helping.

When was the last time the Cubs won their first ST game by nine runs and didn't go on to win the World Series?

I'm back to writing more on The Friendly Blogfines. Obviously it won't ever be 1 billionth of the machine Ace has at Bleacher Nation, but yeah. Destined and Fella (I think) are going to be writing there too (and let me know if any of you want to write or something... think we might try to do some roundtable stuff on the blog too). Hopefully we can get some traffic going, plug SOI on occasion, and get some people back here. I'd be glad to put up an SOI badge or something too.

And I did a recap/notes of the Spring Training opener.

4 triples by Cubs in a single game - when was the last time that happened?  Yeah, it's spring training game against a split squad but still happy with result.

Would have liked a better start by Wood that a lead off walk and run scoring double but hey did I mention it's a spring training game.

BTW, was Valbuena the guy who was hitting the snot out of the ball in Venezuela over winter?  Not certain but thought I ran across that info last month.

Cubs lost to Dodgers yesterday.  Willis was lifted due to injury.  Cubs lost a couple of leads along the way.

As it's Spring Training game and Willis wasn't expected to make the team out of spring training, the game was an insightful glimpse of the future.  The Cubs will never win again this year and Wrigley should be dynamited and turned to gravel.

Glad to get all that the hyperbole is out of the way relatively early in the day.
