Also, Up All Night is re-tooled into a multi-camera show. Puke:

NBC is retooling its second season comedy Up All Night airing on Thursday nights. The network gave the sitcom three extra episodes and will switch it from a single-camera to a multicamera format and additionally film the show in front of a live studio audience. Starring Christina Applegate, Maya Rudolph and Will Arnett, the comedy will take a three-month hiatus following the production of episode 11 which concludes next week to transform its stages into a multicamera format. Production will resume next February for five multicamera episodes bringing its total episode count for this season to 16. The remaining single-camera episodes will air in December and the series will return with new eps in April or May.

That's a bold move, and dare I say a dumb one. If they try to air it on Thursday nights I'll blow up in their faces like "Whitney" did, but I bet they won't make that mistake again. Still, I liked season 1 of Up All Night, the changes this season already have made me like it less. This will probably kill it for me.

Both ideas are dumb.

See I didn't mind a Dwight office spin-off. But I know a lot of people who agreed with you that the idea was dumb, so I think I'm in the minority for sure. The Up All Night thing is just bizarre.

I don't think the Dwight character could sustain a show before becoming even more cartoonish than he has become. It sounded like Newhart with Dwight as the lead. And Up All Night has never done much for me, but introducing more cameras and a laugh track would make it even worse.

Laugh tracks are like microwave ovens, they don't make anything better.

I had no idea a Dwight spinoff was ever happening. That sounds like a terrible idea.
The Office has been surprisingly decent lately. Most of last season was bordering on unwatchable.

The best parts of last season were the episides with the English woman and James Spader. Other than that the Office went downhill. I like this season thus far.

I was glad to see a good Jim vs Dwight prank. Haven't seen one of those in quite some time! I watch the Big Bang Theory quite a bit and I'm always telling the wife that there is going to be a spin-off show with the 3 girls.

And Community sits on the shelf. Eventually they will wheel it out to die a lonely death, while crap like 2.5 men continues to thrive.

I don't have any clue what they did to Andy this season. He was sort of the protagonist last season, now he's a douche again? Are we supposed to hope Erin ends up with the "new" Jim? I don't get it. It's still a decent show after all these years though.

The best sitcoms of all time were laugh track/multi-cam shows (Cheers and Seinfeld, then probably All in the Family) and the current highest rated sitcom is as well (Big Bang Theory), but I'm single cam guy these days.

Big Bang Theory was funny for about 5 minutes. Now it has become annoying to me. I usually just have it on in the background whilst I do other things.

And Community is returning February 7 according to their Twitter account.
