Dodgers top pitching prospect. He loves his mom.

Read on twitter that Lee has more up side than Delgado, but Delgado is a "safer" prospect.

Getting shelled in AA. Many think he has a great upside though. I think it's a dumb trade, but again I'm completely in the keep Garza camp. Why trade a proven, very good to great SP for a maybe prospect who is getting eaten alive in AA?

Because in 2013, the last year that Matt Garza is under control, the Cubs will suck. In 2015 we might have a chance to compete.

That's why, IMO, you keep and extend. Use him to build. If he's 33-35 then whatever, trade him for all you can get. But he's on the right side of 30 which is why it makes sense to keep him.

But that's also why it makes sense to trade him.

I don't get the logic behind trading Garza for one prospect. Why not keep him, give him a qualifying offer, and collect the sandwich pick in the draft? You get to keep Garza for 1 1/2 years and still get a decent prospect at the end, with the possibility he'll catch fire and be tradeable next year.

If he gets traded, I'd be shocked if it was for a single prospect. If you trade him next year he's a rental...you trade for him this year you have him help you in a playoff push and an extra year of control.

Um, no one said it was a straight up swap. Did you read the article at all? It said a package.
